When the screen turns off automatically for the first time, many users worry that target-yield control, the Bluetooth scale, or cloud status has stopped too. In practice, auto standby mainly rests the screen and backlight. It does not power off C3 and does not disconnect every background connection.
1. What Auto Standby Actually Turns Off
| Item | After Screen Sleep |
|---|---|
| Screen and backlight | Turn off or dim to reduce long periods with the display lit. |
| C3 dosing control | Does not stop because the remote screen sleeps; C3 continues to execute extraction-stop logic. |
| Bluetooth scale | Usually remains managed by C3, provided another device has not taken the connection. |
| Wi-Fi and admin portal | The device may stay on the network for settings, OTA, or cloud synchronization. |
2. Recommended Standby Time
The admin portal normally offers 0, 30, 60, or 120 minutes. Home users can start with 30 minutes. During continuous installation or acceptance testing, use a longer temporary timeout. A value of 0 usually disables auto standby, but keeping the screen on permanently is not recommended.
3. How to Use PWR and BOOT
PWR Short Press
Normally sleeps or wakes the screen. The first touch after sleep should only wake the page and must not activate the control underneath.
PWR Long Press
Shuts down the device or enters a deeper power state. If a powered-off unit only charges when connected, long-press again to boot.
BOOT
Can display or reproduce the most recent extraction curve for installation acceptance or support review.
4. When to Restart
If pages stop refreshing, cloud status remains pending verification, or the scale does not recover after a phone takes its connection, first refresh from the admin portal or restart S3. Do not attribute every fault to auto standby; it is mainly a display policy, not extraction-control logic.
